Returnees stranded at Kapuri camp

More than one thousand South Sudanese returnees, who returned from Khartoum, are stranded at the Kapuri transit site in Juba.

The returnees are originally from Central Equatoria State, but have been stuck at Kapuri for the past two months with nowhere to go.

Radio Miraya visited the transit site and spoke with a number of the returnees, who said they have failed to locate their relatives.

They called on the government of Central Equatoria State to give them access to education, health care and even land to enable them to settle.

Angelo Wello, an official working with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, told Radio Miraya that they are waiting for the government of Central Equatoria State to assist the returnees.
