Highlights

  • Humanitarian Action Plan has been drafted by the Solomon Islands Government and humanitarian partners and presented to donors.

  • Humanitarian Action Plan has identified SB$38 million in humanitarian funding requirements of which SB$24 million remains unmet.

  • Assessments confirm that 588 houses have been destroyed and 478 houses have been partially damaged.

  • Poor weather and heavy rain over the past two weeks have hampered relief operations around Temotu Province and restricted movement of humanitarian supplies and personnel to and from Honiara.
