An IOM-assisted medical campaign recently vaccinated more than 300 children living in the most remote areas of Kosovo. Minorities living in the Gjilan region seldom have access to centrally located health facilities. IOM, W H O and UNICEF supported a mobile team that toured the region in order to reach all of the children in their villages.
An IOM vehicle with a Macedonian d r i v e r, a doctor and a nurse collected the vaccines every morning and set off to visit each of the villages in the region. The campaign was completed in six days .
