The teleconference was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Rogozin, EMERCOM Head Vladimir Puchkov and heads of municipalities of the Krasnodar Territory. After hearing the information about measures taken to eliminate the effects of an emergency situation in Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Krymsk, Vide-Premier Minister and EMERCOM Minister ordered the following: to deploy in every clock mobile life-line centers, to organize round-the-clock food deliveries and constant warning both within and outside the emergency zone, to provide psychological and information support.

As a result of torrential rains 5,185 houses are flooded in Gelendzhik, Divnomorskoye, Krymsk, Nizhnebakanskaya, Neberdzhaevskaya, Kabardinka and Novorossiysk.

22 thousand people were injured, 171 were killed. 3,300 people lost part of their property, 18, 700 people lost everything, 400 houses were completely destroyed.

The group of forces and facilities employed to deal with the situation amounts to 10,767 people and 1,301 units of equipment, including 3,021 people and 444 units of equipment from EMERCOM of Russia. The backbone of the group consists of militants of 294th Center for Extra Risk-Rescue Operations Leader, 179th, 945th rescue centers and rescuers of CENTROSPAS and personnel of South, North Caucasus regional centers of EMERCOM.

10 aircrafts of EMERCOM are carrying out a rescue operation on the site.

During the rescue operation:

872 people have been saved;

2,854 people have been evacuated;

1,000 people have been delivered to the temporary shelters;

water has been pumped out from 1,814 houses.

106 units of equipment to pump out water are sent from the Central, North Caucasus and South regional centers.

To provide immediate life sustenance 10 meal centers have been set up in Krymsk and 23.5 tons of drinking water has been supplied.

For assisting the affected people an issue was resolved on lump-sum benefits for the families of the killed people (2 million rubles for each killed person), lump-sum finance help (from 10 thousand rubles for a person, but no more than 50 thousand rubles for a family) and finance assistance in connection with the loss of essentials. The operations to establish material damage of the people are under way.

Within the framework of effective agreements between CIS states an escort was organized for a humanitarian cargo (263 tons) convoy from the Republic of Azerbaijan.

44 EMERCOM psychologists are providing psychological aid. Aid has been rendered to 1075 affected people.

Charity centers for the victims in the Krasnodar Territory

Members of the All-Russian non-governmental organization Russian Union of Rescuers are working on the emergency site together with EMERCOM specialists.

In Krymsk and Novorossiysk volunteers together with EMERCOM professionals and Novorossiysk municipal rescuers are removing the debris, delivering drinking water, helping to evacuate people to temporary shelters.
