As part of a general group of Emergency forces psychologists are working in 9 subjects of Central, Volga and Southern Federal Districts.
All necessary aid is provided to people in the immediate flooding zone, during evacuation and in places of temporary accommodation. Currently 86 people have asked for psychological support.
The specialists are providing informational and psychological aid on hotlenes, informing the citizens of affected villages on the current situation, forecasts and measures taken to eliminate after-effects of underflooding. Over the past 24 hours hotlines received 38 calls.
In all, 61 emergency psychologists are providing psychological aid to people in flooded areas.
Flood situation in the Russian Federation as of 11 April 2012
903 residential houses inhabited by 2,458 people including 386 children were flooded in 18 settlements, 15 municipalities, 9 subjects, in the territory of Central, Volga and Southern Federal Districts.
In the course of anti-flooding measures carried out as follows: 511 blasts of ice (46 within 24 hours), 194.74 km of ice was sawed through (6.56 km within 24 hours), and 26.48 sq. km of ice was blackened (0.27 sq. km within 24 hours), 23.51 km of banks was strengthened (2.44 km within 24 hours), 68.41 km of river beds was cleared (2.17 km within 24 hours), 1200 gone by ice breakers.
317 task forces including 156 of EMERCOM of Russia were involved over the past 24 hours to control the situation and the course of anti-flood measures.
In all, throughout Russia, within the past 24 hours anti-flood measures involved 1,897 people and 623 units of equipment, including 545 people and 193 units of equipment from EMERCOM of Russia.
