EMERGENCY RELIEF TO FLOODS IN ROMANIA

Frequent flooding caused by torrential rains which continued from mid May, have affected 33 of Romania's 41 districts. More than 60,000 people were affected as of 25 June.

At the instruction of the Government of Japan, Jica will deliver the following relief supplies to the disaster affected country:

  • 20 Tents for 6 persons
  • 20 Generator and extension cables
  • 20 Water purifiers
  • 1 Emergency health supply kit (for 10000 people/1kit)
The above relief items will be airlifted to Bucharest by the earliest possible flight from Jica's emergency stockpile warehouse in London, U.K.
