Highlights

  • Humanitarian consequences of Typhoon Bopha are becoming clearer as more affected areas become accessible.

  • Of the 778,226 people displaced, 87% are staying outside evacuation centres, often nearby the remains of their homes.

  • Current reports indicate 740 people are dead and 890 are still missing.

  • Clusters are mobilizing response to the worst-affected communities, in support of the Government.
