Highlights

  • A low pressure system is bringing rains over the Christmas period to the worst affected areas in Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley provinces, with intermittent storms and rains of up to 10 mm/hr and moderate to strong winds.

  • Presently there are 87 evacuation centres accommodating some 13,940 people, and 959,300 people are staying outside evacuation centres.

  • Over 50,000 tarpaulins are needed urgently to provide emergency shelter.

  • The Typhoon Bopha/Pablo Action Plan for Recovery is now 18% funded.
