UN deputy humanitarian chief Catherine Bragg to visit Pakistan

UN Deputy Humanitarian Chief Catherine Bragg will visit Pakistan from 16 to 20 November 2012 to raise awareness of critical humanitarian needs and to call for more support for families in the flood-ravaged south of the country and those waiting to return home in north-western areas of Pakistan.

Assistant Secretary-General Bragg is expected to meet high-level Government officials in Islamabad, to discuss how United Nations agencies and other humanitarian partners can better support the Government of Pakistan’s humanitarian response and disaster preparedness efforts.
