UAE gives 2,723 food baskets to Pakistan

In implementation of the directives of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the management of the UAE's project to help Pakistan has distributed 2,723 food baskets to families displaced by military operations in a number of areas.

The project management said that the initiative was carried out in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Authority and represents the second phase of the distribution of food aid to displaced families in Pakistan.

They added that the initiative comes within the framework of the UAE's wise leadership interest in supporting the underprivileged and poor in order to provide a decent life for them. The move is also the result of the distinguished relations between the UAE and Pakistan in the context of humanitarian action.

The distribution of food aid comes as implementation of the directives of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide humanitarian aid for displaced Pakistanis to alleviate their suffering and difficult circumstances. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
