Attachments

Security related developments in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) forced thousands of people to leave their homes and move to Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan and Kohat districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Bakkar and Fatehjang in Punjab; and other parts of the country as well as to Afghanistan since 22 May 2014. So far, the authorities have enlisted over 101,000 displaced people. The authorities expect a further exodus of up to 250,000 people in the coming weeks.
The FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) has established a camp in Bakka Khel with a capacity to house 200,000 people as well as in Kashoo Bridge, but almost all displaced people prefer to stay with relatives or friends or in rented houses.
