Pakistan: Humanitarian Snapshot - IDPs and Floods 2012 (as of 17 September 2012)
Heavy monsoon rains fell across Pakistan in early September and caused flash floods and urban flooding. As of 17 September, the floods had affected more than 1 million people, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh provinces have been hardest hit by the floods. Meanwhile, as of 11 September, more than 742,000 people remained displaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to a complex emergency that has affected north-western Pakistan since 2008.
