Highlights

  • As per the latest flood alert from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, All the Major Rivers are flowing in their normal state of flow. According to the report of NDMA dated 23rd September, 2014, Monsoon rains have affected 1,784,847 individuals caused 358 deaths and 620 people got injured in AJK, Punjab and GB.

  • PRCS is responding in Punjab, AJK, GB and Sindh. Out of the initial planned caseload of 13,000 HH, till date, PRCS has reached out to 6,168 flood affected families with food rations and Non Food Items (NFIs) (comprising of emergency shelter & essential household items) while 5,151 persons have been provided with emergency health services.

  • PRCS with support of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has launched an emergency appeal to reach out to 32,500 HH with emergency health, food rations, clean drinking water, hygiene and sanitation services and psychosocial support.
