The United Arab Emirates offers AED 150 million for the reconstruction of Gaza
The UAE Red Crescent Authority has signed a cooperation agreement with UNRWA on the reconstruction of GAZA strip at an overall cost of AED 150 million (nearly US$ 41 million). The project includes the reconstruction of houses and health, education and service institutions which were damaged during the latest events (Etihad, 22 July 2014).
The UAE supports the Palestinian refugees in Syria with AED 55 million in cooperation with UNRWA
Within the scope of the UAE support, the Ministry of International Cooperation and Development has signed a cooperation agreement, whereby the UAE offers an amount of AED 55 million (US$ 15 million) to UNRWA in order to ensure the food aids to the Palestinian refugees in Syria, who were affected by the Syrian crisis (Al Khaleej, 22 July 2014).
Mohammed Bin Rashed orders sending humanitarian aids to Gaza
Pursuant to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, a cargo aircraft carrying 114 tons of humanitarian aids to the population of Gaza Strip landed in Marka International Airport, in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
