An escalating conflict in the northeast coupled with increasing inter-communal violence has triggered serious humanitarian needs in Nigeria. The recent kidnapping of over 200 girls from Chibok by insurgents has underlined the need for Protection, notably for women and children. Populations are in urgent need of Protection, Food, and basic Medical and WASH services in a context of limited humanitarian presence.
