CERF releases over 109.8 millions in the first half of 2012 for emergencies in West and Central Africa
The United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund has allocated, in the second quarter of 2012, over US$48.6 million to nine countries in West and Central Africa: Niger, Burkina Faso, Congo, Mauritania, Central African Republic (CAR), Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali and Sénégal. These new allocations bring up to $109.8 million the total amount of CERF allocated to date in 2012 for emergencies in West and Central Africa.
