Cash and kind donated to locals in Rakhine State

YANGON, 10 Aug-As the local people of Rakhine lost houses and property in various situations in the region, cash and foodstuff were donated for them so as to ensure their survival, at the head office of Fire Services Department, here, this morning.

At the ceremony, U Khin Maung Naing-Daw Cho and family of Shwepinthu Rice Co Ltd of Thanatpin donated 50 bags of rice and 20 viss of fish paste, U Ye Naing Aung (State Commissioner)-Daw Kyi Kyi Wai of Shan State General Administration Department K 500,000, Myanmar Engineering Society K 405,000 and nine bales of clothes, and two boxes of pencils, Daw Cho Cho and family of Lanmadaw Township K 400,000, Seepwar Pankhin Education Service K 302,000 and 13 bales of clothes, Maung Win Htut, Ma May Thu Chaw (from England) K 10000 and two bales of clothes, Ma Hsu Myat Wai of Bahan Township one bale of cloth, Sai Mya Aye of Thuwunna K 30000 and one bale of cloth, teachers and students of Kyimyindine BEHS No. 2 one bale of clothes, Daw Kyin Aye Than of Kyimyindine Township one box of personal goods, Ma Khin Khin Thit (General Manager) of Wynn Land International Co Ltd K 100,000, Ashin Kemaçara of Myayagon Monastery of Mingala Taungnyunt Township 15 sets of robes and three mosquito-nets, Daw Htay Kyi of Thuwunna three bales of clothes, staff of Thukha Gabar Hospital two bales of clothes, Ma Shu Mawa Soe of Pyay Road K 100,000, Dr San Naing-Daw San San Htay and family K 30,000 and one bale of cloth, U Kyaw Min Htin-Dr Khin Theingi Hla Maung of Yankin one bale of cloth and one packet of personal goods.

Director-General of Fire Services Department U Tin Moe and officials accepted the donations and presented certificates of honour to wellwishers.

Up to now, the cash donation at FSD (Head Office) amounted to K 315,696,823.-MNA
