2007 AT A GLANCE

During the past year, IRT deployed 38 teams, involving 171 medical and construction specialists. IRT provided more than $10 million in supplies and services to thousands of families in need worldwide.

Bolivia & Guatemala: IRT shipped emergency medicines and medical supplies worth $2.4 million to aid flood victims in Bolivia and 75 metric tons of emergency food to villagers in Guatemala still recovering from crop failures caused by recent hurricanes.

Peru: IRT airlifted more than $750,000 worth of specialized disaster relief supplies and medicines to aid earthquake victims in Peru. IRT also delivered 754 family tents worth $47,500 to provide urgently needed refuge for homeless earthquake families facing the winter without shelter.

Liberia, the Congo and Sierre Leone: IRT shipped almost $5 million of critically needed medicines and medical supplies to Liberia and the Congo and sent more than $181,000 worth of medicines and education materials to Sierre Leone for humanitarian relief.

Ivory Coast: IRT shipped $1.5 million worth of medicines and supplies to the Ivory Coast for humanitarian relief.

Sudan/Darfur: IRT sent an air shipment of urgently needed medicines and medical supplies to assist Sudanese refugees fleeing Darfur, bringing the total amount of humanitarian aid IRT has provided during this humanitarian crisis to more than $10 million.
