The Jordan office of LIFE for Relief and Development was founded in January 2004 following a cooperation agreement reached between LIFE and the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development.

Five years later, LIFE Jordan continues to expand. For example, the orphan sponsorship program, which allows donors to sponsor boys and girls living in Palestinian refugee camps on a monthly basis, has grown by 150% over the past year from 79 sponsored orphans to 200.

Feeding the poor has been another focus of LIFE Jordan's work. Baskets of food were distributed to 660 needy families during Ramadan while 580 families received packages of fresh Udhiyah meat on Eid ul Adha,

Building on its work in the education sector, LIFE Jordan provided eight university students with scholarships to cover the cost of their tuition. Such projects are viewed as developmental investments in Jordan's future.
