Country Fact Sheet - Jordan
Jordan (officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan) is a low-middle income country with limited natural resources and a semi-arid climate. The country borders Saudi Arabia to the east and south-east, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north and the West Bank and Israel to the west.

The capital city is Amman and the country is divided into 12 governorates (Irbid, Mafraq, Jarash, Ajloun, Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba, Karak, Tafilah, Ma’an and Aqaba).
