Situation

  1. On 23 May, it was reported that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) had taken control of the town of Husayba Al-Sharqiyah, east of Ramadi in Anbar Governorate, and was moving on the town of Khaldiyah. Internally displaced persons (IDPs) reportedly started to leave ahead of the ISIL advance. On 24 May, ISIL reportedly launched mortars into the Habbaniya airbase. On 25 May, it was reported that forces loyal to the Iraqi Government retook Husayba Al-Sharqiyah.
