  • Floods hit Jakarta in January 2013 killing 41 people and displacing estimates 45,000 people.

  • Floods remained the most devastating disaster affecting more than 200,000 people in December-January.

  • December-January recorded high disaster-impact ratios.

  • Suspected bird flu virus killed 320,000 ducks in Java Island.

  • Hydro meteorological disasters are expected to continue in 2013.
