Attachments

This publication presents three coastal resilience projects supported by the World Bank. These projects are the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), Phase I and II; and the Coastal Disaster Risk Reduction Project (CDRRP). The goal is to help mitigate the impacts of cyclones and related hydro-meteorological disasters in all the coastal states of India’s mainland. The report further examines other disaster recovery projects, focusing on Bihar and knowledge creation.

The document also discusses tools and studies related to knowledge creation and management (p. 16-17):

  • coastal hazard and vulnerability atlas/portal;
  • India-specific post-disaster damage and needs assessment guide;
  • India disaster risk management institutional capacity strengthening study;
  • urban coastal coastal resilience for Vishakhapatnam;
  • urban disaster resilience for Bhubaneshwar, Cuttak and Puri.
