According to local media, as of 7 May at 7.00 UTC, six people died, of which two by floods in Phek district (Nagaland State) and four more in Giridih district (Jharkhand State) due to lightening strikes. According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority, as of 7 June at 7.00 UTC, over 100 000 people are affected by floods in Assam.
