1) Logistics Cluster Deployment:

Two logistics Cluster cells established in support of the Haiti Earthquake response:

- Port au Prince (Haiti) - 20-25 staff

- Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) - 6-8 staff

- LC presence at Malpasse - Jimani border crossing.

- LC presence at SD Seaport

2) In Haiti :

a. Logistics coordination and information management

b. Liaison and coordination with the different military actors involved in the relief effort for the use of available military assets (MINUSTAH, US Military, Canadian Military, French Military, etc.)

c. Transit hubs for cargo consolidation and preparation in Port au Prince, Leogane and Jacmel

d. Common transport and storage managed by Handicap International/Atlas Logistique in Port-au-Prince. Transport onwards to Jacmel, Gonaives and Cap Haitien provided by same fleet

e. Handling of air cargo and helicopter transport for humanitarian organisations

f. Coordination and information source at the Jimani border

g. LC presence at PAP Seaport

h. LC liaison and coordination with GoH - Department for Civil Protection
