In 2012, the United Nations and the humanitarian community in Haiti launched a Consolidated Appeal initially of 231 million dollars to meet IDPs assistance, cholera and emergency preparedness and response. The CAP mid-term review of this appeal, has been revised downward to 128 million to focus on core humanitarian needs and to take donor constraints into account.

With the new emergency appeal because of Hurricane Sandy’s impact on Haïti, the fond is now 151 million dollars.
