GUATEMALA CITY, July 15 (AFP) - Two earthquakes, one with an epicenter in the Pacific Ocean and the other centered in the Atlantic, shook this small central American nation overnight, a metereologist said Thursday.

Enrique Molina of the national metereological institute told AFP the first quake, whose epicenter was 126 kilometers (78 miles) off the country's southeastern Pacific coast, registered 4.3 on the Richter scale.

The second quake, centered in the Atlantic some 295 kilometers (184 miles) northeast of here, registered 4.1 on the Richter scale.

Last Sunday, an earthquake measuring 6.1 shook the country, injuring 37 people and destroying some 50 homes.

At least six earth tremors, none of which caused any damage, have been registered here over the past week.
