Hurricane Ivan - Grenada Flash Appeal

United Nations Flash Appeal for Grenada launched in New York Today
1. Following the presentation by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Barbados last week, the United Nations and its partners launched a Flash Appeal today in New York to respond to the urgent and immediate needs of the population of Grenada affected by Hurricane Ivan in early September 2004. The Appeal also aims at establishing the basis for economic recovery.
2. The Appeal covers a period of six months from October 2004 to March 2005, and its requirements are as follows:

3. The Financial Tracking Service (FTS) shows the funding status of each project in the appeal, continuously updated, on www.reliefweb.int. Donors and appealing agencies are both requested to share information on all humanitarian contributions with the FTS.
