1.0 GENERAL SITUATION

The NEOC together with the District EOCs continues to monitor the situation on the ground.
Distribution of relief items continue in affected areas through the coordinated effort of government and nongovernment agencies with the assistance of aid from donor partners and organizations.
Damage assessments reports have been compiled by the respective Agencies for the preparation of rehabilitation plans.
Post disaster health assessments and awareness continue in the Western division.
Cleaning up of affected areas continue to be carried out by the National Fire Authority, the Fiji Correctional Services and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel and the communities.

2.0 WEATHER

Situation:
A weakening trough of low pressure lies slow moving just to the east of Fiji. Associated cloud and showers expected to affect the eastern parts of the group till later tomorrow.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Cloudy periods with some showers over the Lau group, clearing by later tomorrow. Brief showers about the eastern and interior parts of the larger islands with possible afternoon or evening showers elsewhere.
Moderate southeast winds.
Moderate seas.
Outlook for SATURDAY: Brief showers about the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands. Elsewhere, fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers.
