Preliminary assessment reports indicate the high likelihood of an increase in humanitarian needs in the second half of the year.
Two investigative teams were deployed to the northern, north eastern and central parts of the country following unconfirmed reports of local Desert Locust breeding in the areas.
With the increasing pressure put by the South Sudanese refugee influx on the host community, UNHCR is encouraging humanitarian partners to strengthen host community basic services and respond to identified needs
