- Two additional confirmed polio cases were reported in the country over the past two months. The cases were children that had not received a dose of OPV since birth (zero-dose) in Bokh and Geladi woredas of Doolo zone, Somali region. The first case was confirmed on 10 July on an 18 months old child in Injiro kebele of Geladi woreda in Doolo zone. The Government and health partners continue to conduct polio immunization campaigns and to strengthen surveillance to curb the spread of the disease.
