Revised HRD Released

The revised Humanitarian Requirements Document (HRD), covering the second half of 2012, was launched on 13 August, and calls for an additional US$ 189,433,303 in humanitarian funding. Of this, $149.3 million is for food assistance and $40.2 million for non-food (e.g. Health and Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Agriculture and Education) assistance. The revised HRD document identifies emergency requirements in the food and non-food sectors based on the findings of the joint belg/gu multi-sectoral assessment conducted in June, as well as subsequent monitoring and verification conducted by the Government Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Sector (DRMFSS).
