Flood Damage Rehabilitation Makes Fast Progress

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- A work is progressing apace to reconstruct the flood-hit areas of North Hamgyong Province, the DPRK.

Up to now, devastated railways and roads, power grid and communications network have been restored in many sections to ensure the smooth advance of construction units into the disaster areas and the normal transport of building materials.

And a ground-breaking project was finished to build houses for thousands of families in Kyonghung, Onsong, Kyongwon and Musan counties, Hoeryong City and other disaster areas, with hundreds of thousands of concrete blocks produced and with a large amount of timber and aggregate secured.

The credit for such recovery results goes to the indomitable fighting spirit and devoted efforts of servicepersons and shock brigaders who came from different parts of the country in response to the Workers' Party of Korea's call for turning the flood-hit northern part into a socialist fairyland. -0-
