HIGHLIGHTS:

- EL SALVADOR: As of 17 November, there are approximately 15,000 people in 85 shelters.

- NICARAGUA: The number of people affected has risen to an estimated 19,900.

- PARAGUAY: The European Commission donated US$224,000 to assist families affected by the overflowing of the Parana River.
