HIGHLIGHTS

  • After a year since the peace process began between the Government of Colombia and the FARC-EP guerrilla, some conflict indicators have reduced, however FARC-EP was involved in more than half of all mass-displacement events and in 35% of all armed actions during this period.

  • There was a significant escalation of FARC-EP armed actions in October.
    These focused on mining and energy infrastructure.

  • Civilian humanitarian demining begins in 12 municipalities in northern Colombia.
