CMA dispatched two working groups to guide typhoons defense

On August 2, CMA dispatched two working groups to Zhejiang and Jiangsu Province to inspect and guide the typhoon forecasting and defense service. One group went to Zhejiang and was led by Shen Xiaonong, Deputy Administrator of CMA; while another group went to Jiangsu and was led by Zheng Jiangping, Deputy Director of Department of Emergency Response, Disaster Mitigation and Public Services. In addition, members of these two groups include staff of Department of Emergency Response, Disaster Mitigation and Public Services, Department of Integrated Observations and the chief forecasters of National Meteorological Centre, etc.

Upon their arrival in Hangzhou and Jiangsu, two groups immediately went to the provincial observatories. They inspected the service operation of monitoring, early warning and forecasting, and listened to the track prediction analysis of typhoon Saola and Damrey. Then they provided guidance and suggestions on forecast and defense.

It is reported that the working groups will go to the landing sites of Saola and Damrey to inspect and guide the work of typhoon forecast.(Aug.2)
