Southern Africa Flood and Cyclone Situation Update #11
I. HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES
- The President of the Republic of Namibia declared a national state of emergency on 29 March 2011 to respond to large-scale flooding in the northern parts of the country. International assistance has been requested.
- In Malawi, an estimated 2,165 people have been affected by heavy rainfall, mainly through crop loss.
