Dundo - The Minister of Social Welfare and Reintegration, Gonçalves Manuel Muandumba, assured Wednesday in Dundo, Lunda Norte province, of the support for humanitarian assistance and safety of refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Angola, aimed at their social well-being.

The Cabinet minister expressed his assurance at a meeting with an inter-ministerial commission and the bodies of the United Nations system, after a trip to the municipality of Lóvua, located 90 kilometers from Dundo, east of the province, where will be installed a new permanent reception center of refugees from the DRC.

He said that the Government is committed to strengthening and improving the conditions of accommodation, service and logistics and, thus, leaving the emergency and reception situation.

He underlined the collaboration with the United Nations agencies to create, as a matter of urgency, a better facility to ensure decent conditions for people.
