Government supplies farming inputs to peasants

Lubango – The minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Afonso Pedro Canga, said Friday in Chibia municipality, soutnern Huíla province, that the Government is distributing farming inputs to peasants who lost their harvest due to drought that hit the country.

The minister was speaking to journalists at the end of a two-day visit to Huíla.

He further said that the Government is delivering farming equipment to peasants, so that they can plough in the next season and refund the loans granted to them.

Afonso Pedro Canga informed that seeds, fertilizers and agricultural tools, especially in the most affected provinces are being distributed through the Agrarian Development Stations (EDA).
