During meeting with H.E. Minister Wais Ahmad Barmak, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Mr. Petersam Nabi Swedish Ambassador to Afghanistan said his country will provide an amount of USD 3.3 million for the National Solidarity Program (NSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) to be spent for the implementation of uplift projects in the local areas of the country.

The Swedish Ambassador recalled his country’s provision of facilities and administrative equipments to Afghanistan which was discussed during the visit of Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development to Sweden, and said that his country had provided technical and cash aids to the country and would continue cooperating in the reconstruction of Afghanistan in the future.

Also, the MRRD Minister thanked the ambassador for his country’s cooperation and asked for continuation of cooperation to complete the underway projects and presented information about the achievements of his ministry to the ambassador.
