South Korea sends fact-finding mission to help Afghan refugees
The five-member team which left for Islamabad on Monday was one of the delegations to be sent to five countries bordering Afghanistan -- Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Iran, it said.
Two weeks ago Seoul sent relief goods worth one million dollars to help the Afghan refugees, as a part of the pledged 12 million dollar aid which was raised from an earlier promise of five million dollars.
Separately, the South Korean Red Cross last week donated 30,000 dollars in cash aid for the Afghan refugees.
