Sari Pul Province, Sari Pul City Flash Floods Incident Report No.7

I. HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES
According to WFP, the agency has provided assistance to 1,850 flood affected families in 15 flood-affected villages in Sari Pul City, Sari Pul Province, since 2012.
WFP calls for revitalization of livelihoods of the flood affected people in Sari Pul and elsewhere in the country.
According to WFP, residents of Sari Pul have lost 540 head of livestock and 2,100 jeribs of irrigated land due to flash floods.
IOM re-supplying NFI stocks in northern region to prepare for any eventual emergencies.
Reportedly, the Mayor of Kabul has donated 20 truck load of food and non-food items to victims of Sari Pul
Assessments in the districts of Sancharak, Gosfandi, Sozma Qala, Kohistanat still remains impossible pending completion of the minimum road and bridge rehab to allow rapid assessment teams to cross the river with vehicles.
Humanitarian assistance is provided to the affected people as further assessments are being conducted
