During last nine months of current year, 75 utility projects of MRRD have been completed and handed-over in Logar province; while construction works of 84 projects are underway

Eng. Abdul Rahman Rahmani, Rural Rehabilitation and Development Director of Logar province stated the above sentence and further added, “The completed projects have been implemented in 75 villages of Logar province through National Solidarity, National Area-Based Development, and Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation programs of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) at a budget of AFN 101 million and 442 thousand. At the same time, construction works of the other 84 projects are underway in different villages of Logar province at a cost of AFN 101 million and 790 thousand. With the completion of these projects many families will provide with necessary facilities.”

According to Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of Logar province, Social Protection Department of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has graveled 64-km rural roads. More than 123 ton food items of UN World Food Program (WFP) have been distributed to 1022 workers in the gravelling process.

Likewise, creation of 74 Community Development Councils (CDC’s) in Kharwar district of Logar province is the other developmental activity in that province which will solve many problems of rural people in Kharwar district.
