Dr. Dalil lays Foundation Stone for Construction of New Blood Bank in Kabul

Dr. Suraya Dalil, Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan laid foundation stone for construction of new blood bank over the ceremony with participation of France ambassador to Afghanistan and some other officials of Afghan government here in Kabul on Tuesday.

It would be the first blood bank of Afghanistan which is going to be constructed with all International standards during 12 upcoming months by $ 800,000 financial support of French government.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Dr. Suraya Dalil, Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan called the construction of this blood bank as an another important step towards enhancement of health services delivery in the country.

Dr. Dalil added that this blood bank would be built in one-story with all global standards during 12 upcoming months and we hope it should be unique blood bank in the country which will has all necessary equipment.

Minister of Public Health thanked from this generously financial support of French government for constructing of the blood bank, hoping the further financial and technical support of France with people and government of Afghanistan.

“We are in the ministry of public health of Afghanistan strive to provide better health services for all compatriots, therefore the laying foundation stone for construction of center blood bank shows our strong commitments in providing better health services to needy people of Afghanistan”, said Dr. Dalil.

The blood bank would also have thalassemia center for treatment of those patients who need blood, as well it would be facilitated with all advanced and modern equipment to address health problems of the patients.

Likewise France ambassador to Afghanistan, Mr. Bernard Bajolet spoke on the issue, assuring to the minister of public health on continued cooperation of his country with people and government of Afghanistan in different spheres, particularly in health sector of Afghanistan.
