The non-governmental organization Mission d'Aide au Développement des Economies Rurales - Afghanistan (MADERA) has launched a new three-year European Union-funded project to improve food security in vulnerable areas of Wardak province in Afghanistan.

The project aims to recover the livestock sector and to increase food production and sources of income in two districts of Wardak province. Under the project, activities will be implemented to recover and stabilize key livelihood assets (livestock and land) of the targeted communities, and assist in providing income-generating opportunities for vulnerable groups.
