El 16 de abril de 2016, un terremoto escala 7,8 devastó la zona costera de Ecuador; causó la muerte de 671 personas y grandes pérdidas para otras cientos de miles.

Un año después, el país está recuperándose a un ritmo constante, con coraje y espíritu resiliente.

On 16 April 2016, a 7.8 scale earthquake devastated the coastal area of Ecuador. 671 people lost their lives and hundreds of thousands suffered serious losses. One year later, the country is rising steadily with courage and a resilient spirit.

Mogadishu 24th May 2017 - With funding from the Government of Japan, the Joint Rule of Law Programme provided comprehensive capacity development support to the Somali Police and the Ministry of Internal Security with the handover of essential equipment, vehicles, furniture and solar power for 24 police stations, amounting to $2.4 million, considerably enhancing Somali Police’s operational capacity and efficiency in responding to security threats in Banadir region and member states.

Over the course of six months, the UNDP Lebanese Host Communities Support (LHSP) project has implemented through the “Peace Building in Lebanon” project in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA), a training program to build the capacities of the Social Development Centers’ (SDC) managers, area coordinators, officials and staff members in implementing the Mechanisms for Social Stability (MSS) with the funds of UKDFID.
