EIRUT, May 27 (KUNA) Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) on Saturday launched an 'iftar' (Muslim evening meal in Ramadan) campaign and a 'kiswat eid' (feast clothing) campaign in Lebanon.
The first project targets distributing 80,000 iftar meals throughout the holy month of Ramadan at a daily rate of 2,750 meals, said coordinator of the relief works of the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) Youssef Botrous.
RIYADH, May 21 (KUNA) Kuwait has rushed and sent several medical supplies to Yemen to help counter the recent cholera outbreak in the civil conflictravaged Arab country. "Kuwait Besides You" humanitarian campaign distributed medical aid Sunday to the hospitals in the Abyan Governorate.
In a press statement, Dr. Emad Abdulrahim, a campaign official, said that the campaign was keen on helping Yemeni people stop the spread of the deadly disease.
The medical supplies comprise necessary medications and equipment to deal with the cholera spread, he said.

AMMAN, May 19 (KUNA) Kuwait's Rahma International charity, an affiliate of the Social Reform Association (Eslah), on Friday distributed relief aid and supplies to over 400 Syrian refugee families in Jordan.
The aid, delivered through Relief Convoy 312, is part of the Kuwaiti charity's relief campaign since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis to provide humanitarian and relief aid to refugee families and internally displaced persons in Jordan and other neighboring countries.
RIYADH, May 18 (KUNA) - Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Thursday ordered the competent bodies in the Kingdom to respond urgently to the cholera outbreak in Yemen.
Acting on these royal instructions, King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSCRHA) set up a taskforce on emergency medical intervention to contain the deadly disease, KSCRHA general supervisor Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabi'a said.
