500 Low-Income Families Supported Across 5 Countries And More Than US$1 Million Raised

BANGKOK, 12th May 2012: Today, nearly 5,000 young Habitat for Humanity volunteers laid bricks, mixed cement and wielded hammers to help more than 500 families in China, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand in just one day.

HFH Philippines Hands Over 700 New Homes In Cagayan De Oro City And Is Due To Complete More Than 500 Others

MANILA, 7 May 2012: Philippine President Benigno Aquino III was the special guest at the recent handover of 700 new Habitat homes in Cagayan de Oro city to families affected by last December’s Tropical Storm Washi, known locally as Sendong.

The families had spent months living in tents, a few minutes away from Habitat’s Calaanan site in Misamis Oriental province in the Northern Mindanao region.

Students Raise Over One Million Baht And Volunteered On Habitat Build In Lopburi Province

BANGKOK, 10 April 2012: When the Interact Club of Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok built with Habitat for Humanity Thailand in early March, it was different from earlier builds.

More than 7,000 homes were lost or damaged after severe tropical storms, and nearly 13,000 people living in temporary shelters Habitat for Humanity Guatemala continues to raise funds for disaster recovery.

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala (December 12, 2011) – On October 12, Tropical Depression 12E landed just off Guatemala’s Pacific coast. The storm and its heavy residual rains passed through Mexico and Central America, leaving tragedy in its wake.

After eleven years live in refugee camp in Bitung-North Sulawesi, 125 families finally have a decent place to call home. Since conflict which swept North Maluku on 1999-2000, those families is forced to leave their home and neighborhood. Ever since that, they have to stay in substandard houses on a poor environment. HFH Indonesia together with the donors started build decent homes for the families since March 2010 and officially finished on 14 October 2011.
