On April 27, 2012, a Cooperation Protocol was signed between AFAD and DHL in order to supply lojistick back up for humanitarian relief during disaster and emergencies.

On March 18-19, 2012, 55 Syrian Arab Citizens voluntarily returned home and 279 Citizens went into our country.

Under the Presidency of Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Bekir BOZDAĞ, a committee, including our Director – General Dr. Fuat OKTAY, the Head of International Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) Mr. Serdar ÇAM, the Director of Turkish Airlines Mr. Temel KOTİL and the representatives of several public organization and institutions with NGOs, went to Somalia in order to analyze the activities.
Within the scope of the humanitarian assistance for Somalia, 40 tonnes medicine, medical supplies, apparatus and equipments, which valued at 823.529,00 USD, were sent to Somalia with the coordination of our Presidency and as a result of joint studies among Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of health, International Turkish cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) and the Directorate of Turkish Airlines.
