Islamabad: A signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 15.5.2012 for launching of reconstruction activities by King Abdullah Relief Campaign for People of Pakistan (KARCPP) in which 5,000 houses would be built costing $ 20 million. The houses are meant for those affected by devastating floods of 2010 and 2011. Mrs. Anjum Assad Amin, Member represented NDMA in the above ceremony.

Islamabad - The Government of Pakistan Statistics Division in collaboration with UN-Habitat and UNFPA jointly inaugurated the 5th Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Laboratory on 7th May, 2012 in Islamabad.
The GIS Laboratories will serve as a platform for developing and enhancing the capacity of the existing GIS for the four provincial offices of the Population Census Organizations in Pakistan.

To facilitate and support displaced persons of Tehsil Bara Khyber Agency, Provincial Disaster Management Authority-PDMA conducted a meeting under the chairmanship of Director General, PDMA Shahzad Khan Bangash. Director General Arshad Khan of Fata Disaster Management Authority-FDMA, Assistant Political Agent Khyber Agency, Director Relief, Chief Coordinator PDMA and delegation of affected tribes from Bara Tehsil in Khyber Agency (Welfare Committee Tehsil Bara) also attended the meeting.
